I’m customarily the type of person that buys makeup here and there but last week I just couldn’t resist as I went on a little shopping haul. A MAC store had recently opened nearby me which obviously I had to visit. I was immediately drawn into the store as I gawked at the rows of makeup and profusion of colours. I’ve been to a few MAC counters but this was just amazing.
MAC Shade Model Behaviour Lipstick £16.50
I initially went in with the idea of purchasing a blue lipstick as it’s a colour I’ve always wanted to own. I indeed came across a beautiful blue lipstick but I was then captured by a stunning purple lipstick with a blue sheen. I must own about four different purple lipsticks already (in various shades of course) but this lippie was to beautiful to ignore so I opted to purchase it instead. I’ve worn this lippie a few times already and the staying power is immense. You just can’t beat a MAC lippie!
NYX Liquid Suede Shade Jetsetter £7.00

After my visit to MAC, I continued my journey to Boots and I soon came across the NYX concession. I was so excited when I first saw a NYX counter in Boots and knew I was about to become a regular customer. A stunning cobalt blue liquid lipstick immediately caught my eye which was exactly what I was initially looking for and for seven quid, I didn’t hesitate adding it to my basket. Being a brunette, cobalt blue has always suited me and something about the colour really appeals to me. I’ve only worn this liquid lipstick once and I absolutely love it. It takes a few minutes to dry so I recommend you apply it early if you’re in a rush but it dries enough to still feel moisturised on your lips. I suffer from dry lips really bad so a liquid lippie is perfect if you’re like me.

NYX Coloured Felt Tip Liner In Teal

As you can tell, I love the colour blue and I have many blue eyeliners that I use for the summer. I’ve tried felt tip liners before and I’ve never got on with them but I heard so many reviews about this one I had to get it. Black can be a bit heavy for summer so a dark teal colour is perfect to lighten up my makeup look. I’ve tried this liner once at work and boy was I impressed. The staying power was superb and was so much easier to apply then I thought.
I’m usually a drugstore makeup type of girl but I do like to treat myself here and there and I think NYX is going right to the top of my list.
