SKINCARE REVIEW // ESOCARE ORGANIC SHEA BUTTER

The normal type of Shea Butter I’ve always used on my skin is the tube or tub that you find in drugstores such as from Boots or Superdrug. They have a sweet and buttery scent that I’ve always thought Shea Butter would smell like but I was soon enlightened on the original scent of Shea Butter when Esocare, a skincare brand that puts the focus on wholly natural products, sent me a large tub of their raw Shea Butter to review.

I was genuinely surprised when I used this product and I convey that in a really good way. To begin with, raw Shea Butter is nothing like the processed cream you get from the drugstore. Instead, it’s got a thick and grainy texture that dissolves into the skin and leaves your skin feeling super hydrated. Compared to the normal Shea Butter you’d buy in a drugstore, this product actually absorbs into the skin and after a week of using it on my legs (I get really bad dry skin on my legs) they were visibly nourished and soft to touch.

The product tub is spacious and for £14.99 you’re definitely getting your money’s worth. I feel confident using this product on my skin knowing it’s 100% natural and wouldn’t hesitate to purchase this product again. I personally find fragrant body lotions great for smelling pleasant but worthless for keeping my skin hydrated as their typically full of bad chemicals that can actually be toxic for skin. If you struggle from flaky, dry skin then put those scented lotions down and give organic Shea Butter a try. Nothing feels better in the summer that putting on that cute summer dress and flaunting your smooth and glowing skin!
