When I first opened my package from Technic Cosmetics I was absolutely delighted to find an eyeshadow primer in there. I used to use the Urban Decay Primer with my Naked 2 Palette but I found it didn’t make a massive difference for me so I discontinued buying it. Only recently was I looking for a more affordable alternative so this was perfect for me to review. I’d love to point out that this primer has a rose gold shade and I absolutely love it under my pink eye makeup which I’ve been sporting recently. This eyeshadow primer is for shimmer eyeshadow only which I normally wear so that was advantageous. I used the product by dabbing a small amount onto my finger and then blending it into my eyelids until it was smooth and even. The formula isn’t too sticky either which is effective, however it does dry out slightly which can make the eyeshadow appear rough. I suggest you only apply a small amount to make sure it’s a smooth layer for your eyeshadow. I found that halfway through my shift that my eyeshadow was still prominent and it didn’t need topping up which was impressive. The only criticism I have for this product however, is the chemical smell it produces much like the highlighting powder I reviewed. I’m not a fan of chemical-smelling products as it worries me that it could cause slight irritation. When you first apply the eyeshadow primer it feels slightly cold and tingly at first but don’t let that worry you. Within seconds, it dries and I had no problems as the day continued. Apart from that criticism, I believe this eyeshadow primer gives results and I would continue using it when I have a long shift or go for a night out. This eyeshadow primer is perfect for those on a budget who needs extra help with their eye makeups staying power. A sweaty eyeshadow mess isn’t very appealing! *This product was sent to me for review by a brand
