BEAUTY REVIEW // TECHNIC 24CT GOLD HIGHLIGHTER

The lovely folk over at Technic Cosmetics recently sent me a selection of their new products to test out and see what I thought. The brand was given a makeover lately to enhance the brands aesthetic so I was really excited to see what was in my package! I wanted to begin my review with my favourite product out of the whole lot: the Get Gorgeous Highlighting Powder in shade 24CT Gold. Even from looking at the product you know you’re going to be impressed and it sure didn’t disappoint. In my opinion, Technic surpassed themselves with their highlighting powders collection because they all look so striking and would sit beautifully on your dressing table. The product has a flip open lid which is much preferred over the lids you twist off. It also stays sitting up, unlike some packaging that keeps falling back down (not fun when you’re balancing your bag on your knees trying to touch up your makeup in a busy ladies room). ​For the price of £3.49, the pigmentation of this highlighting powder is remarkable and I have no complaints in that department. It actually boasts quite a strong pigmentation so I recommend building up the colour gradually to avoid going overboard. As you can see from my swatch below, the powder doesn’t appear orangey like some do, just a subtle golden glow.Conversely, the only downfall I have with the product is the chemical smell it produces. Once the product is applied you wouldn’t even notice it, but it’s only when you have the product open that it’s at its strongest. ​ Apart from that slight criticism, I can honestly say I will definitely be incorporating this product into my makeup routine. Likewise, when the summer months roll around this powder will definitely be my go-to product for a golden, sun-kissed glow.
